The Screen Savers Plus model started in 2002 with a cat. With a love for clawing up the screen doors around the family home, this cat caused a father to give his son an ultimatum – either he must say goodbye to his beloved, furry friend or he must repair the screen doors. That being said, the entrepreneurial spirit was awakened within the young son and he started his screen repair carrier. Initially limited to mending his parents’ door (over and over again), requests for repairs multiplied as neighbours began to find out. Lawn signs and door knocking soon followed; as the word spread, the young son needed to be more mobile to meet the increasing demand for his services, so the red wagon that had previously been sufficient was later replaced by a small trailer pulled by his father’s 4-wheeler. Summer after summer, weekend after weekend, the business grew. Family members were brought in and friends were hired to help keep up with the demand.

The company has since expanded into other items, which mirror the window and door screens, while giving customers more control over their environments without leaving their footprints on it. Screen Savers Plus now offers window film and tint, solar screens and retractable screen doors and windows to allow individuals more comfort within their homes or offices. They became even more mobile to better respond to the needs of their clients whose time was limited.

From its humble beginnings, Screen Savers Plus is now in two countries, serving satisfied customers everyday. We have worked for some of the biggest companies around but have never forgotten our roots founded on the individual customer whose cat ruined the screen door. Our owners are happy with what they do and enjoy the freedom and opportunity that Screen Savers Plus provides.
